In low-voltage grids with a wide spread of domestic and/or small commercial consumers, mostly single-phase, problems can appear due to unbalanced power consumption between the different phases. These are mainly caused voltage unbalances phases and increase in distribution losses. This phenomenon occurs more frequently at end highly radial be stressed by installation renewable generators next consumers. Amongst various techniques that have been proposed solve this problem, article explores use D-STATCOM, presenting testing new method for optimal location type D-FACT. The developed starts from detailed analysis existing network identifies D-STATCOM (i.e., one reduces these while reducing energy losses). has successfully tested year four real European locations characteristics kinds users.
